August 17-23 Meal Plan

I have found that the best time for me to meal plan dinners for the week is Sunday afternoon. I give myself time to look at the week ahead and plan it around practices or appointments.
Right now, with Blake being gone I do try and plan all my meals to be extra kid friendly to give myself the best chance that they will actually eat what I cook! When I am cooking for 2 adults, I sometimes make us a more "grown up" meal and maybe give them a kid version of the same food or sometimes I do something completely different for them.
I do ask them to try a bite first before deciding that they don't like it. And we always have cereal, eggs, lunch meat, or other simple things that they can have instead. This works for us and I do appreciate their efforts trying new things when I try to mix it up.
I don't always stick to the day of the week 100% because some evenings end up feeling harder than I planned so I swap a meal out for another one. But, having the full 7 days worth of meals planned and groceries stocked does make it so much easier to actually stick to the plan and takes a ton of my stress away!
