Kids Spiral Bible
I just got this in the mail and I am so excited to start adding this to our bedtime routine each night! Each day is laid out like the Day 1 in the picture above. I like that they have a verse, the story in a kid version, and things to talk about and even the key word section! This is going to be fun to read through the bible with them and I can't wait to see what they learn but also what I get to take away from this too! Little bit of life lately
Life with boys is never boring or quiet! We have had SO many creatures at our house this year and Jaxon is loving it. We have had racoons, a rattle snake, centipede, and now we have added a giant wasp nest & black widow to the list this week! I took the advice of a friend and have made them little coloring sheets about the insects we found this week & it is fun to watch them learn about them. Jordan got his first big boy hair cut and he loves it! Now he looks like he's 5 and

It's like having my own little assistant..
The list of things that moms have to remember is endless. We are the keepers of all the things that most of the house doesn't see. The appointments, school events, dress up days, homework assignments, meals, laundry, keeping all the things stocked...and so much more. I saw a reel recently that said that there isn't a fairy that comes at night and fills up all the things like everyone might think! Surprise! Its mom! So to help myself, I like to have a subscription set up throu

Random Things
This has been a week. Ya know, one for the books! Like how is it not Friday yet? Did we have 4 Mondays in a row? One of those weeks where you might have jammed out to Mr. Brightside in the kitchen or literally went outside to touch grass. We may or may not be thirty, flirty, and thriving, but hey... we are here and we are giving it our best. So let’s all just give ourselves a pat on the back because we did make it! Tomorrow is Friday!! And yes, I am beyond thankful for this l

Mom Hack - Laundry
Most of us don't love laundry, but it will never be gone so I have tried to find a way to make it more manageable and less stress! Because let's be honest, there is nothing I dread more than a weeks worth of laundry piled up & overflowing 3 hampers. So I try to always do 1 load per day and we usually do have enough, even if it is just a small load. My boys change clothes when they get out of school, my clothes for the day, their second set of clothes, & Blake's clothes. I thr

Absolutely Not
Yes, this is REAL. Right on my front porch! I walked outside during Jordan's nap and somehow I didn't see it and I did indeed barely step on it...and yes I did almost not survive that lol!! All 3 boys had different reactions. Jaxon thought it was cool but kind of gross. Jordan kept saying "Big bug gross!" And Jarett almost took himself out trying to get the door opened so fast when it started moving! Then proceeded to tell Jaxon, "I am the most terrified man in the whole worl

Koozie King
Jarett will not drink a canned drink without a koozie and we only buy the smaller 7.5oz cans for them. He was using a regular full size koozie for his mini Poppis and it was always such a mess. I was able to find these cute little mini koozies and he loves them! They come in a pack of 12 and are all different colors for only $15.99!

August 17-23 Meal Plan
I have found that the best time for me to meal plan dinners for the week is Sunday afternoon. I give myself time to look at the week ahead and plan it around practices or appointments. Right now, with Blake being gone I do try and plan all my meals to be extra kid friendly to give myself the best chance that they will actually eat what I cook! When I am cooking for 2 adults, I sometimes make us a more "grown up" meal and maybe give them a kid version of the same food or somet

Mom Hack - School Lunches
If you’re like me and mornings already feel stressful and overwhelming, one easy thing you can take off your plate is packing school lunches and snacks. I always pack everything the night before, and it’s still perfectly good for them the next day! I feel like I have so much more time at night to actually think about what I’m going to pack instead of scrambling to throw something together in the morning. It’s such a simple thing, but it really does make our mornings flow so m

Can't Help But Laugh
Well moms, we did it. We have survived the first full week of school. And that deserves its own little moment of appreciation and we should all be proud! Even though it's always sad to have a new school year roll around, I really do love the structure and schedule that it brings back to our home. I just do better when I can be more organized and in the planning mode. What makes me sad about school starting isn't as much of sending them off for a few hours of the day, it is th
